EFTA: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland
Non-EU : Citizens of all other countries
Au pairs from EEA countries
EEA citizens need the following documents for an au pair stay in Liechtenstein:
- An application form to enter the principality
- The form "Persönliche Angaben zur Ausstellung des Aufenthaltstitels" (Personal Information for Issuing the Residence Permit) (incl. passport photo and signature)
- A copy of the valid passport or identity card
- A copy of the au pair contract
- Proof of health insurance coverage
- Registration for a German course
- Proof of income
Au pairs from non-EEA countries
Au pairs from non-EEA countries need the following documents for an au pair stay in Liechtenstein:
- An application form to enter the principality
- A visa application
- A copy of a valid residence permit with residence in the EEA or Switzerland
- The form "Persönliche Angaben zur Ausstellung des Aufenthaltstitels" (Personal Information for Issuing the Residence Permit) (incl. passport photo and signature)
- An original excerpt from the au pair's Criminal Record Report (max. one month old and translated into German by a translation agency certified in Lichtenstein)
- Proof of basic knowledge of German (e.g. certificate, degree,etc.)
- A copy of the valid passport or identity card
- A copy of the au pair contract
- Registration for a German course
- Proof of income
