Identity verification helps make AuPairWorld safer for au pairs and host families. Both sides must successfully verify their identity before they can use the chat feature on AuPairWorld.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Identity verification confirms that there's a real person behind your profile and that your personal information has been checked. It's also a requirement before you can use the chat feature on AuPairWorld.

Identity verification checks:

  • Whether your ID document is valid and authentic
  • Whether you're the person shown on the ID document
  • Whether important personal details match those on your ID document

AuPairWorld uses identity verification as one of several safety measures throughout the placement process.

When do I need to verify my identity?

You can verify your identity at any time after creating your account. Identity verification is required before you can use the chat feature on AuPairWorld. Once you've successfully verified your identity, you can start sending messages.

Before you can send messages on AuPairWorld, you need to verify your identity. This helps create a safer environment by confirming that there's a real person behind each profile.

Once your identity has been successfully verified, you can use the chat feature to get to know potential au pairs or host families.

How does identity verification work?

To verify your identity, you'll need a valid ID document and must complete a short live video check to confirm that you're the person shown on the document.

During identity verification, AuPairWorld checks:

  1. Whether your ID document is authentic
  2. Whether the person in the live recording matches the person shown on the document
  3. Whether important personal details on your ID document match those in your AuPairWorld profile

Simply follow the instructions provided during the identity verification process.

What happens if my information doesn't match my ID document?

If certain personal details in your profile don't match your ID document, AuPairWorld may correct them based on the verified information from your document.

This may include personal details such as your name, date of birth, nationality or gender.

If any information is corrected, AuPairWorld will notify you. Once these details have been verified, they are locked and can no longer be changed directly in your profile.

What happens if my identity verification is unsuccessful?

If your identity can't be verified successfully, additional checks may be required.

First, follow the instructions provided during the identity verification process. If verification is still unsuccessful, AuPairWorld may review your case.

Until you've successfully completed identity verification, you won't be able to use the chat feature on AuPairWorld.

What happens to my data?

The information collected during identity verification is used to verify your identity and confirm important personal details.
