2010 has been a very busy year for AuPairWorld; of corse, in the positive sense. Thousands of support enquiries from all over the world and in numerous different languages have reached us. Small wonder, as 150,000 new au pairs and 45,000 host families registered at AuPairWorld this year alone. This gave us the opportunity to extend our support hours in the second half of the year. This means even better email and phone support for our users in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Dutch and Spanish for our users.
Six new colleagues have joined our team
Not only have we extended our service hours, but we have also reinforced our team. Thus, we started off with Dima Barghout (German, English), Sophia Kloniecki (German, English, French, Spanish) and Michael Kutscher (German, English, French). Three translators, who joined our staff this spring.
The good news doesn't stop there. In the second half of this year, Uwe Regenbogen, the founder of AuPairWorld, hired Katrin Raible, a lawyer, who offers legal assistance to the company. Thus, we will be able to optimally support our au pairs and host families in legal matters. Stefanie Saur and Clara Freund are in charge of all journalistic questions.
In our "Question of the Week“, we have for a few months regularly been offering answers to our users when it comes to important questions concerning au pairs, as well as host families. Another novelty is our „News“-section: here our users will find all news around the topic of international au pairs – this includes changes regarding regulations concerning visa or press calls by external representatives of the press. Our new section „Stories“ written by Au Pairs and Host Families of all different nationalites equally gains more and more readers.
In 2011, AuPairWorld will get a new face
In 2011, we will certainly not run short of news concerning AuPairWorld. Thus, we are already working on a great design of our website, which will aglitter with the splendidness of it's new fresh design! Another highlight of 2011: this year, we shall welcome and naturally celebrate our one millionth user (we won't say any more at this point, it's a surprise). Therefore, we would like to invite you to celebrate the coming year together with us! Your AuPairWorld Team is saying Goodbye to you for the period from 24 December 2010 to 2 January 2011, as we will close our office for Christmas. We wish all our users: Frohe Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Joyeux Noël et nos meilleurs vœux pour la nouvelle année ! Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo! Wesołych Świąt oraz szczęśliwego Nowego Roku!
Your AuPairWorld Team Ann-Kristin, Clara, Dima, Heike, Joanna, Katrin, Michael, Petra, Sophia, Stefanie and Uwe
