2019 marked AuPairWorld's 20th year of successful operation. On this occasion, we have collection donations to support the work of SOS Children's Villages.
2019 has been an eventful year for AuPairWorld. We are able to look back on our move into a new headquarters building, on our 20-year anniversary celebration, on a meeting for au pairs in Kassel, Germany, and lots of other exciting campaigns and activities. One of these has been our donation campaign organised under the motto "We connect the world".
In connection with the AuPairWorld's 20-year anniversary, we have designed and sold au pairing t-shirts with the profits going to SOS Children's Villages. In addition, during the anniversary celebration we also collected donations for this purpose. Through the generosity of our partners, friends and customers, we were able to collect nearly €2,000. AuPairWorld has doubled this amount to €4,000 and made a donation to the German chapter of SOS Children's Villages in support of the project children's education in Africa.
AuPairWorld has supported SOS Children's Villages for many years. The project "Education in Africa" makes it possible for children and young people to complete their schooling. This provides a foundation for further positive development for these young people and better chances in adult life. These educational measures – including kindergartens, schools and vocations training centers – represent an important opportunity for many children and young people in these areas and often their only chance to gain an education.
