Not only does Michael Kutscher have a successful job here in Hesse, his new home region, where a.n.d. Internet Services GmbH und Co. KG, operator of the AuPairWorld website, have their headquarters, but also a successful running career. In 2012 he won the 20km Nordhessencup and finished 6th in the Kassel Marathon (half marathon distance).

For him his participation in the 6th Lions Benefizlauf in Halle-on-the-Saale on 21st June 2013 was almost a home fixture: Michael Kutscher comes from Halle, and his parents and many of his friends still live there. The committed athlete and translator for a.n.d not only showed his strength by lending a hand in his home town during the flood disaster, but proudly triumphed in the charity run "Halle läuft", by completing 75 laps of the 700m circuit. A superb achievement considering that the average number of laps per runner was 14.3.

Every runner had a 'running angel' as their sponsor, who alongside the starting fee of 5 Euros, committed to donating a further fixed sum for every lap the runner completed. a.n.d, operator of, pledged 10 Euros for each lap Michael ran. The donation from a.n.d. alone totalled 755 Euros.

According to Tilman Schlereth from the organisational team, the 6th Lions Benefizlauf saw 1,464 runners complete a total 20,969 laps. "Considering the money pledged per lap and other pledges from sponsors, we have calculated the proceeds to be around 30,000 Euros", Schlereth stated. The proceeds will be donated to those affected by the floods and to families, children and young people in need.
